Tina Wiltsee - Artist Spotlight Weekend!

Join us for our very first Artist's Spotlight Week-end, where one of our wonderful teachers visits Jubili for an afternoon of FREE demos, questions and answers! Tina Wiltsee, our very talented GLASS FUSING ARTIST & our excellent teacher will be at Jubili from 12:30 - 4:30 pm Saturday and Sunday. Watch as she cuts glass, makes glass designs, and explains the general art and craft of Glass Fusing, or DICHROIC GLASS Jewelry-making. You'll definitely get hooked, and want to sign up for her next beginning class on Sunday, February 15th!!

Tina Wiltsee's Dichroic Glass Examples

Tina Wiltsee - Dichroic Glass Fusing

Tina Wiltsee teaches this very popular class on the basics of dichroic glass fusing. You'll learn how to cut gorgeous, colorful pieces of glass, arrange the shards on a base, and tips on how to finish your pieces. Tina will also teach you some of the science basis for this wonderful medium. Pendants will be baked overnight and can be picked up in a day or two after the class.

This class is great for kids ages 9 and over, as well as adults. Take the class together and enjoy a really fun afternoon!

Kate Fowle's Pendants

Special Instructor: Kate Fowle

This year, we're excited to welcome Kate Fowle Meleney to Jubili's Glass Studio as our 2009 Special Guest Instructor. Perhaps best known for her amazing enamel electroplating surface embellishment technique, Kate's work has appeared in countless books, magazines, and in her own video series. Meant for those in the intermediate to advanced flame work level, this two day workshop will include the following:

Day 1 -
am: Working with enamels
pm: Working with paints

Day 2 -
Electroforming, working with metals, fuming, copper leaf, silver foil, & reduction frits.

You'll make your own beads, and apply the techniques above to your beads during the workshop.

One of our most popular glass instructors, Diane is back to teach you all you need to know about incorporating silver into your beads.  Topics taught include silver reactions, incorporating silver foil, leaf and wire into your beads.

Diane Worthington teaches this fun class on glass bead-making techniques.  The class will cover the interesting effects you can obtain when mixing certain colors of glass together.
